General Rules:
Here are some general rules about Part 1 that you may find useful. The point of Task 1 is for you to answer shortly to many questions. Think of it like an interview where you need to answer questions about yourself. You should:
Keep it short. When you practice, in general try to answer in 15 to 20 seconds per question.
Give at least 1 reason and 1 real-life example. Again very general but try to have at least 1 real example in your answer.
Talk about yourself. This part is all related to you (if the question doesn't say another person).

Do you have a talent or something you are good at?
Answer 1:
My Personal Answer:
Was it mastered recently or when you were young?
Answer 1:
Well, as a kid, I always used to draw anywhere and on anything. I used to draw on paper, on old newspapers, and on the wall at home (and I would get punished for that). I guess I enjoyed drawing like any other kid and then I've built some proficiency by simply repeating over and over again. And so over time, it became the little talent I enjoy doing.
My Personal Answer:
Well, I didn't do it when I was young, that's for sure. I began designing animated pictures about 6 years ago. At that time I just wanted to give it a try and do some simple images, and I did that quite well, and then I began to add to it, and now I can semi-animate a short scene or even a short video for my work. The skill developed quite well, I’d say.
Do you think your talent can be useful for your future work? Why?
Answer 1:
I’m not really sure. Perhaps If I had to draw or design something, that would be useful, but I’m afraid it won't be enough. I don’t think I’ll become an artist or a designer and so I guess it will remain my hobby in the future, but I won't have the opportunity to earn money with it.
My Personal Answer:
Yes, absolutely. I think animating and drawing cartoons can be a great way to create a personal identity for yourself and your business. I have made a cartoon character of myself and I add him in different situations. I use cartoon objects I create like furniture, cultural items, food, and so on to create single-take backgrounds and interesting scenarios. I will definitely use these for the foreseeable future and who knows, I might even make a cartoon out of it.
Do you think anyone in your family has the same talent?
Answer 1:
I haven't seen any of my parents or relatives draw anything, so I guess they don't have this particular talent. The thing is that in their childhood, they didn't learn these extra skills outside of school, and school was limited itself. So I’m guessing they didn't develop their drawing skill at all, but I’m not sure about other relatives.
My Personal Answer:
Well, actually it's quite interesting because my younger sister is an artist. In fact, she is the reason I got inspired to create my own cartoons and illustrations, but for the wrong reason. Some years ago I asked her to help me design my character and draw for me, and I even offered to pay a bit for her time. At the time she said she can't help me much, as she was very busy with her own creative work. And so, I said to myself “If you won't help me, then I’ll do it myself”. It was a funny but important moment that opened up my talent.
Are people born talented?
Answer 1:
My Personal Answer:
I'm more of a believer that the environment we are born with and the resources that environment provides for us can build or develop certain skills in people. Let's say a child is born in a family of doctors. Not only the kid will have a peaceful and good childhood because doctors are relatively stable and high earners, but the child is going to build an affinity towards medicine and helping others. These skills will later develop into a career. This probably works in 8 out of 10 cases.
What are some skills that require talent?
Answer 1:
It has to be some entertainment skills like dancing, singing or acting. We always admire those high performers and secretly wish we could be as talented and successful as them. In those skills, talent can really set someone to stand out from the crowd and make him really famous in the process.
